The call on Bedard comes in a game where the
„Best Referees in all of Sports“ didn’t call a major here.
It’s been a good year so far for @NHL regarding calls, but this can change in a hurry.
This is where a report about ref by the league would be really helpful.
Andre Burakovsky won’t play tomorrow and then TBD after that. Blashill said he thought this hit should’ve been a penalty because Burakovsky never really had possession.
Bedard: “It’s back-to-back games of guys going right to the head… It’s bullshit.”
Jeff Blashill on the sequence where Connor Bedard didn’t get a penalty called on a breakaway chance and was given an unsportsmanlike penalty for yelling at the ref
I’m not a fan of treating stars differently, but maybe – maybe – if a player who isn’t really vocal very often AND now has an A on his jersey is really upset about a call (rightfully), you don’t call a penalty on him and decide a game.
